Healthy Store Bought Toddler Snacks
Navigating the snack aisle can be a daunting experience for any parent. Whether shopping with your little one or alone, how do you know which snacks to get? Also, how do you know which snacks are nutritious?
Store bought snacks are one of those things that I have a love-hate relationship with. I love the convenience of store bought snacks, but I hate how time consuming it can be to find quality snacks that I am ok with serving my little one.
I have taken the guesswork out of it by sharing some of my favorite store bought finds. My little guy goes through phases with some snacks, but these are always on his “approved” list.
The snacks I have listed do not contain any added sugar which is a huge factor for me when I am shopping for store bought snacks for my toddler. They are also jam packed with nutrients…snacks that taste good and nutritious…it’s a win for all parents!
I hope your toddler will enjoy these snacks just as much as mine!
Cerebelly Bars: I can’t say enough good things about this company. When I found this product, I cried tears of joy! When my little started eating solid foods around 6 months old, I became slightly obsessed with ensuring he was getting enough iron daily from his food sources. I started making a lot of bars and muffins from scratch for him, but it became too time consuming. When I found Cerebelly bars for the first time and saw how jam packed full of iron and a TON of other nutrients, I was sold!! Not only that, but my little absolutely loves these bars! They are by far our favorite, I even love to sneak one every now and then too! Cerebelly has a whole line of pouches that I highly recommend. Check it out here.
Go Raw Sprouted Organic Pumpkin Seeds: This one is a little controversial as I know some parents may not feel comfortable giving their toddler seeds due to the potential choking hazard. I only give these to my little when he is seated in a high chair or booster seat and I closely monitor. Modeling healthy snacking as a parent came into play for this discovery. My son saw me snacking on pumpkin seeds and so desperately wanted to try. I gave him one thinking he would have no interest, but he insisted on more...and more!! I love pairing pumpkin seeds with some fresh fruit. Not to mention, like Cerebelly bars, pumpkin seeds are another nutrient powerhouse. Packed with iron, zinc, and magnesium to name a few, this is a great snack for toddlers and kids of all ages. Another easy snack that I am more than happy to offer my toddler. You can find the ones we love here.
Once Upon a Farm Dairy-Free Smoothies: I am a HUGE smoothie fan and no surprise my little one loves them too! Literally running over anytime he sees me sipping a smoothie to have some. I love Once Upon a Farm smoothies for their convenience. I pack these in my little ones lunch box to have at school or keep handy for when he wants something refreshing. These are also non-dairy which is great for any kids with food allergies.
