Frozen Yogurt (dairy-free)

Here’s another fun no-bake recipe for summer!

Most frozen yogurt is loaded with sugar. This recipe is only sweetened with maple syrup and uses minimal ingredients.

This recipe was adapted from Forager Project vanilla blueberry frozen yogurt recipe you can find here. Instead of using blueberry preserves, dark chocolate and almond butter are swirled in at the end.

This one is another winner and a great low sugar dessert to enjoy all summer long!

Frozen Yogurt (dairy-free)

Serves 6

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups dairy free unsweetened vanilla yogurt (try this one)

  • 1/2 cup, plus 1/4 cup unsweetened drinkable yogurt (try this one)

  • 1/3 cup maple syrup

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips

  • 1/4 cup almond butter

Instructions:

  1. In a large freezer-friendly dish or bowl, whisk together the yogurt, ½ cup drinkable yogurt, maple syrup, and vanilla extract.

  2. Place the yogurt into the freezer to chill for 2 hours.

  3. Remove the frozen yogurt from the freezer and scoop it into a blender or food processor along with the remaining ¼ cup of drinkable yogurt. Blend until smooth.

  4. Place the chocolate chips and almond butter in a microwave safe bowl. Microwave in increments of 15 seconds until melted. Stir together and set aside.

  5. Pour the blended frozen yogurt back into the freezing container and swirl the melted chocolate/almond butter into the yogurt.

  6. Place the yogurt back into the freezer to freeze for 1 hour.

  7. Serve and enjoy!
